Global HR Research (GHRR) is dedicated to inspiring those around them, especially through service within the local community. GHRR is committed to one of their clients, The Naples Shelter for Abused Women and Children. In order to support that commitment, each year Global HR Research adopts a family from The Shelter, providing them with an enjoyable holiday season. This year Global HR Research, along with their Chairman of the Board Austin Shanfelter, will bring the holiday cheer to two families.
“For the past three years, Global HR Research has adopted a family from The Shelter and provided gifts for the holidays. Every year, our employees have been excited to help provide gifts to others. This year, our employees were really looking forward to this event, therefore we decided to adopt two families.” said Brandon G. Phillips, President and CEO of Global HR Research. “Our goal is not only to support the cause by adopting the families but also to raise funds for the shelter.”
The Shelter for Abused Women & Children (www.naplesshelter.org) is a non-profit organization that strives to lead the community to prevent, protect and prevail over domestic violence through advocacy, empowerment and social change. The Shelter began in 1986 when the Spouse Abuse & Task Force, operating under the Hotline & Rape Crisis Program of Collier County, began planning to start a safe haven for victims of domestic abuse. The Shelter offers confidential services free of charge to victims and survivors of domestic violence throughout Collier County. In addition to Outreach services, The Shelter offers safe haven through a 60-bed residential shelter, as well as 4 transitional living cottages.
“We are more than happy to brighten the holidays for these women and their families. Everyone at The Shelter has been so helpful in getting this organized. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to make a difference within our local community and work with such a wonderful organization,” said Phillips.
